Regarded as a messenger of peace and humanity, he was beyond the limits of sampradayas and sects . He was a great reformist, thinker, philosopher and yogi. He was loved and worshipped by one and all, even highly respected by many non-Jains. His general appeal used to be to reduce all wasteful expenditure, lead an austere and simple life and help the needy and contribute for the development of society. |
Achievements |
Highly devoted to education, social reforms and human welfare services. With his inspiration and motivation, many educational institutions, in the form of university, colleges and schools were opened in different parts of the country, particularly, in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. Besides, many hostels, libraries, study centres and vocational centres were opened with hid inspiration and encouragement. He has a large number of religious books to his credit, written both in prose and poetry, which have become priceless assets of Indian literature. |
