The ashram was established after the death of Shrimad Raj Chandra by his immediate disciple, Shrimad Laghu Raj Swami. Prayers are held five times every day, starting from early morning to late evening. Hundreds of followers of Shrimad Raj Chandra visit the ashram every day and join the prayers with great reverence and enthusiasm. Some stay for days, some for weeks and some leave their homes for their entire life to stay here in a solemn atmosphere. The very environment of the ashram is such that it makes one forget his worries and problems and feel detached from the worldly chores, getting closer to the religious thoughts and cleansing the soul.
