A Perspective View
* Special School for mentally retarded children established in October 1988, recommended and recognised by Social Welfare Dept., Government of Rajasthan.
* Aided by Ministry of Welfare, government of India and run under the guidelines of National Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Secunderabad.
* Capital Grant received from UNICEF also.
* 4000 sq. meters land, off J. L. Nehru Marg, near Vidhya Ashram School allotted by J. D. A. free of cost under the directions of Govt. of Rajasthan.
* Construction of School and hostel buildings started in May 1995 Foundation Stone laid by Hon'ble Shri Bhanwar Lal Sharma, Minister L. S. G. & Urban Development, Rajasthan.
* Total cost of construction is expected to be around Rs. 31.00 lacks in first phase. Ministry of Welfare, Govt. of India, has sanctioned grant of Rs. 8.00 lacks for this purpose. The society has already arranged Rs. 7.00 Lacks. Kind and liberal donations are requested to meet the remaining requirement.
* Shree Nirmal Vivek School is the Only school in Rajsthan which also provides Hostel facility for its students.
The Society for Welfare of Mentally Handicapped, Jaipur has embarked upon establishing a full fledged Shree Nirmal Regional Institute For Mentally Handicapped In Jaipur, with the following objective:
1. Proper medical Care and Physical restoration of special persons and
2. Imparting education, training, guidance and rehabilitation to develop ability and potential of special person.
With above perspective, Shree Nirmal Regional Institute for Mentally Handicapped, Jaipur envisages programmes to provide integrated services under one roof ranging from early intervention to appropriate care counseling, education and training etc., through a team of professionals with the aid of latest equipments. Unitwise, following programmes are included in the project :-
1. Day School and Rehabilitation Centre for mentally retarded children-started in Oct. 1988,
2. Hostel for School going mentally retarded children-started in 1993-94,
3. Diagnostic and counseling centre-presently running in school premises,
4. Community extension services -particularly in slum and other areas where poor class of society dwells-being started shortly in collaboration with N.I.M.H., Secunderabad,
5. Training centre for imparting training to various categories of trainers/workers in the field of mental retardation,
6. Parent's counseling centre or imparting scientific knowledge, to deal with learning and behavioral problems, of M. R. Children,
7. Vocational training centers for boys and girls,
8. Sheltered workshops,
9. Home severely and profoundly mentally retarded children and
10. Survey and research.
The institute provides services to the public without any regard to cast, creed, nationality, colour or sex.
The Society for Welfare of Mentally Handicapped, Jaipur is registered under Rajsthan State Registration Act, 1958. Registration No. is 156/JPR/88-89.

* 100% Income Tax exemption is available to donors u/s 35AC of the Income Tax Act vide notification No. 844 (E) dated 17.10.1995 of Ministry of Finance, G.O.I.
* 50% Income Tax exemption is available to donors u/s 80 G of the Income Tax Act.
* Name of the Donors donation Rs. 51,000/- or more will be inscribed on the room.
* Name of Donors donating Rs. 11,000/- or more will be inscribed on the marble slab to be installed in the building.
