This Swetambar Jain temple devoted to 12th Tirthankar, Shri Vaspoojya Ji is located at Hoshiarpur in Punjab, in Sheesh Mahal Bazar about 2 Kilometer from the Railway Station. This is one of the oldest temples in ‘Punjab-Sind’ Region, probably built before the 3rd century, (Vikram). The idol of the Tirthankar is very attractive and impressive. It is white-coloured, 100 cm. tall and is in Padamasan posture. The specialty of the temple is its pinnacle (shikhar), which is of unique design, being a rare piece of ancient art in itself and it is covered by gold leaf. That is why, the temple is called Golden temple. The temple is also in the possession of a large collection of ancient Jain manuscripts of Agamic literature.
