Samani Pratibha Pragya M. S.

 

 

Personal Background : Samani Pratibha Pragya was born on December 1st, 1962 in Tomkore, Rajasthan, India. She is a disciple of His Holiness Acharya Sri Mahaprajna. After seven years of training she was initiated by His Holiness Acharya Sri Tulsi in 1989 at the age of 25 and became a member of the Saman order. The Saman order started by Acharya Sri Tulsi represents a new horizon in the field of Jain monkhood being a new rank between the ascetic and the lay follower. A Saman represents purity, equanimity and self-restraint.

Academic Background : M. A. in philosophy, Jainology, and comparative philosophy and religion, associate professor at Jain Vishva Bharati Institute Ladnun, Samani Pratibha Pragya is engaged since 18 years in teaching and training Science of Living, Preksha Meditation and Jainology in schools, colleges and universities. She knows ancient classical languages such as Prakrit, Sanskrit as well as modern languages Hindi, Gujarati and English. She has presented papers in national and international seminars and conferences. Also she was interviewed on radio, TV and newspapers in many places.

Oversea Travels : She has traveled in Europe ( U. K., Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, France, Italy) and in the USA.

Her oversea travels are for expounding and elucidating the basic principles of Jainism such as non-violence, non-absolutism, non-possession, and further advancing and lifting up ethical values, positive thinking, art of living, stress-management, operational efficiency and personality development through Preksha Meditation and Jain Yoga.
