Among the most spectacular sculptures that Badami offers is the well-known 18 armed Shiva that embodies 81 dance poses. Perched on the northern hill is Malegitti Shivalaya, dedicated to the benign aspect of shiva as the garland maker. The temple is built on stone, finely Joined without mortar.
