Shri Jawahar Lalji M. S.

Acharya Shri Jawaharlalji Maharaj Saheb had a very powerful personality, who could bring about significant reforms during his life time. He was one of the originators of the revolutionary thinking of the current century. His personality was attractive and effective. His preaching which embraced liberal thinking, universal amity and national favour had a wide spread influence over the heart of people. His life was ideal and he presented the theme of development of individual, society, nation and the world.

Acharyaji used to preach the intricacies of Jain scripts in easily understandable language. He used to call upon the masses to eradicate social evils such as festivities on the occasion of deaths, dowry, child marriage and marriage of old. The also used to urge people to cooperate in the national movements of satyagrah, non-violent, non-cooperation, use of khadhi, cow protection, removal of unsociability, abandonment of vices, etc.

He had started an ambitions scheme known as "Vir Sangh" with a view to directing monks and shrawaks to devote themselves towards spiritual thinking, meditation and service. For social service and religious upliftment, it is the necessity of our times to implement this scheme.
