Dr. Surendra Kumar Dhariwal

President of Jain Association of U. K., Dr. Surendra Kumar Dhariwal is a dynamic person with great zeal. He was the Chief Executive of Second International Jain Conference held at London on October 1 and 2; 1983. It was with his untiring efforts that the Conference had some positive achievements particularly for establishment of International Institute of of Jainology at London.

Dr. Surendra Kumar Dhariwal, eldest among the sons, was born at Kota on Nov 3, 1939. He passed MBBS from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore.

He served in SMS Medical College, Jaipur and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Energetic and ambitious, Dr. Dhariwal came to London in 1965 and after some Hospital experience started his independent Medical practice in this big international city.

Dr. Dhariwal started taking interest in social work since 1977 as a member of Jain Association of U. K. and remained its President for several terms.

He was the Chairman of the Session of Third International Jain Conference held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi in February 1985. He is the President of the U. K. Zonal Chapter of World Jain Congress.

Married to Smt. Santosh Dhariwal on November 27, 1964, he has two daughters, Mukta and Ritu.
