Dr. D. C. Jain  is presently positioned as Addl. Director General, Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. He is also functioning as Prof. & Head of Dept. Neurology at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi.

MBBS - 1971 from King George Medical College, Lucknow, MD - 1975 King George Medical College, Lucknow, DM - 1981 All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Working as Head of the department of Neurology since 1981 at Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi. Have philosophical interest in scientific basis of religion, organized several National & International conferences, workshops. Delivered lectures on non-violence and peace at different colleges and universities. Written book on medical basis of vegetarianism. Actively promoting ethics in medical sciences.
