Acharya Shri Roop Chandraji M. S.

 

 

Gurudev Shree Roopchandra Acharya is a multi faceted personality, In him lies a saint's compassion for the world's suffering, the foresight of a visionary, the motivation force of a pioneer, a craving for world peace, and a sensitive poet & writer. In the stress-torn society of today, when man unknowingly gets more and more entangled in the cobweb of misery, Gurudev gears up compassionately to guide and train all the ultimate happiness. His mission lies in helping people to go back to fundamentals of life, and making a fresh start in the right directions.

Gurudevji was born under a heavenly star on September 22, 1939 in a Jain family at Sardar Shahar, Rajasthan, India. Since his early childhood, he had a strong bent of mind towards religious devotion and dedication. He was! Initiated in Jain order in an early age of 13 years.

Thereafter, he dedicated himself whole-heartedly to the pursuit, penance and meditation. Now he has been able to master so many languages just as Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Hindi, Gujrati and English. Besides having mastery over Jainsim and philosophy, he plunged deep into the sea of knowledge of sacred Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagwad Geeta, the Dhammpada, and the Bible. It is really very astounding that even in this age of computer, he had memorised about twenty-five thousands versus in his study life.

Foot Marches : Gurudevji has travelled on foot over 50,000 Kilometers throughout India and Nepal to propagate the religion of humanity. Suring this pursuit of public awareness and Sadhana, he has interacted with eminent philosophers, spiritual leaders, poets, diplomats and thinkers. He constantly endeavours to awaken the dormant consciousness and conscience of people living in villages and cities.

Applied Meditation & Yoga : Gurudevji has successfully practised many methods of deep meditation. In the practice of Mantra Yoga, he has undergone the rare profound experiences of Samadhi. Through this experience, he has devised easy ways and means for giving solace and relief to the turbulent and tension ridden person of today. Several followers have had miraculous experiences through his enlightened guidance.

A Literary Figure : He is not only a saint of high calibre, but also a renowned poet and literary figure. He carved out for him-self a prominent place in the world of Indian poetry. His works on religion and philosophy have been highly appreciated by the scholars of country. So far twenty-one books have been penned down by him and they have been published. Many of the books, time to time, have been released by president and the vice president of India in grand functions, which were attend by the renowned literary persons. In addition of this, his talks, writings and poems have found place in the national papers and journals and also broadcasted and telecasted on the radio and television respectively.
