Jain Tirth - Bh. Mahavir
The beautiful and clean city Warangal houses yet another very significant temple. In the place called Kolanupaka, 2 Kilometers away from the Warangal railway station is a classy Jain temple. This a true example of beauty paired with uniqueness. We already know that the Jain Community is a peace-loving one, and so is this marvelous temple. The Jain Temple stands pretty for over two thousand years now, and has stood as a grand testimony of our glorious history. The place still contains the remnants of the commendable works in the areas of architecture and engineering. The Jain temple is the proud possessor of an awe-inspiring 5 feet high image of Thirthankaras. The idol is engraved out of a rare kind of jade. It is a very important place of worship for the Jains in the country.
The place is serene and somber. Amidst the peaceful surroundings, the temple of the great Saint Mahaveer stands with its own sheer size and solemnity. The Jain Temple speaks volume about the sophisticated Jain culture and their ways of life.
