Bhagwan Mahavir Memorial Samiti - Public Notice

28-02-2018 : Be it known to all the Followers of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami and(or) Jain associations/organisations, Jain group that Hon'ble Delhi High Court in its order in FAO 326/2016, CM Appl. No. 25837/2016 titled 'Raj Kumar Jain & Ors. v. Bhagwan Mahavir Memorial Samiti & Ors.' requires preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for the development of the Society's 4 Acres land at 7, Benito Juarez Road, South Campus, New Delhi-110021, allotted to Bhagwan Mahavir Memoral Samiti (BMMS) by Govt. of India in 1974 to symbolize Jain Unity on the auspicious occasion of 2500th Nirvan Mahotsav of Bhagwan Mahavir in terms of the objectives of the Society as stipulated in its Memorandum of Association, which read as under:

"i) To celebrate all over the country the 2500th Nirvan Mahotsava of Bhagwan Mahavir :

ii) to erect a suitable and befitting memorial in Delhi to commemorate and perpetuate the memory of Bhagwan Mahavir and to depict Jain way of life and to provide for the maintenance and management of the Memorial; and

iii) to provide in the Memorial, central library on Jainism, facilities for study of research in Jainology, a museum of Jain Art, Architecture and paintings, collection of manuscripts of Jain Literature".

Accordingly, all and one as aforesaid are invited to participate in sharing respective vision, views, ideas, concept and detailed proposals for the purpose of building an unique befitting Memorial of Bhagwan Mahavir. Suggestions for consideration and compilation may please be sent by 23rd March, 2018 through email and (or) post, at the office of BMMS.

In order to achieve this great object, this Public Notice requires wide publication, circulation cum participation and a visit to BMMS office and may be done so by each one of you.
