Soripur Jain Tirth - Bh. Neminath

Location : 70 Kilometers from Agra

This temple of Shri Neminath Bhagwan is located at Sauripur Village on the bank of River Yamuna, about 75 Kilometers from Agara and 25 Kilometers from Shikohabad on the Northern railway. The temple belongs to Swetamabar Sect. Shri Neminath was born a this place.

It is an ancient and historical place. There were seats of different Bhattarakas in the past. Garbh and Birth Kalayanaka of 22nd Tirthankar Neminath were held here so we may call this a Kalyanaka Kshetra. Not only this but large number of Saints viz. Suprathisith, Shri Yum, Dhanya and Vimalsut etc. got kevalgyan at this place. Adimandir (Baru Math) Shankdwaj temples as well as 5 Tonks known as panchmathi are mentionable.

Bateshwar : it is a suburb of Shoripur only 3 Kilometers away.

We will find a temple of Bhagwan Ajitnath at this place which was got constructed by Bhattarak Jagatbushan in samvat 1838. This place is situated on the bank of river Yamuna. There are 101 Shiva Temples in addition to a famous temple of Bateshwar Mahadeo.

Pilgrims can stay in a Jain Dharamshala at Bateshwar.
