Location : 120 Kms From Chennai. 5 Kms From Vadmadimangalam Railway Station

This pilgrimage is at 300 feet high hill top. There is a big statue of Bhagwan Neminath in the standing posture of meditation. Many ancient statues are visualised on the vails and rocks. Metal idols are also visual. There are water ponds and caves on the mountain. The colourful ancient literature is carved in a cave. Another temple of Lord Parshvanath is there on the hill where foot-prints (Charan) of Acharya Pravar Samantrabhadra, Rishabsen and Veerbhadra are available. Two temples constructed by Pallav Naresh are in the vail of mountain. An intinerary of eight thousand Saints was available here in the past. Smt. Kundadevi sister of first Chol-king got constructed a temple of Lord Neminath which is now famous as Kundadevi fountain. More than fifty shell inscriptions of the Chol and Pallav kings are quite safe even today. These shell inscriptions are of 1023-24 A. D.

It is a sacred grove of Acharyas Shri Samantrabhadra, Rishabsen, Vardutt, Vadiraj and Gajkeshari of Jain religion. Many sacred books of Tamil language were written at this place. It is the same place where the book 'Neminathan' was written by Gunveeracharya. The book 'Vachnandi Mallai' was also written here. This area is famous as Jainbadri (Shravanbelgola) of Tamil state.
