Suthari - Jain Tirth - Bh. Parshwanath

Main Idol : Nearly 30 cms. high, white - colored idol of Bhagawan Dhrutakallol Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture.
Location : Bhuj, the Nearest Railway Station is at a distance of 86 Kilometers and Gandhidham is at a distance of 160 Kilometers. The roads are good and the bus service and the taxi service are available here. Kothara, the sacred place nearby, is at a distance of 12 Kilometers. There are Dharmashalas and Bhojanashalas.
History : This sacred place is regarded to be the chief sacred place of the ‘Abdasa’ taluk of Bhuj - Kutch. Since this image is very miraculous, it is widely famous. The idol often works miracles. Shri Uddeshi Shravaka got this idol from a villager. He took it home and put it in the granary. The granary got filled with grains. Similarly, the ghee - pots remained full, though ghee was used. The devotees, therefore, called the idol Dhrutakallol Parshvanath. This temple was formally installed on the eighth day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh in the year 1895 of the Vikram era. Three in a year, the sun rays touch the feet of the idol.
Art Work : This temple with a vast story looks beautiful with many peaks. Its artistry is very attractive. On the upper flour, there is an idol of Choumakhiji. There is a 31 cms. high idol of Bhagawan Kunthunath. Besides, there are extraordinary ancient idols of Gautam Swami and Padmavatidevi. They are eye - catching. They are plastered.
