Dear God
& the Creator of this Universe,
If
you were to speak to humanity today, perhaps your words would not be words of
comfort. Perhaps they would be words of disappointment, frustration, and
righteous anger. You created
a world of extraordinary beauty and abundance. You blessed humanity with magnificent
mountains, flowing rivers, vast oceans, fertile lands, colourful forests, and
an astonishing diversity of life. Above all, you gifted human beings with
intelligence, conscience, compassion, and the freedom to choose between right
and wrong. Sadly today, this magnificent creation has fallen
into increasingly irresponsible hands.
A World Drifting Away from Its Purpose
The Earth, meant to be a shared home for all living beings, is rapidly
becoming a battlefield of competing interests. Humanity appears to be drifting
away from the values that form the foundation of civilisation—truth,
compassion, justice, humility, and mutual respect.
The institutions established to promote peace, justice, harmony, and
peaceful coexistence seem unable to fulfil their original objectives. Many
political, religious, economic, and social organisations intended to unite
humanity have become trapped in rivalry, division, and the pursuit of
influence.
Instead of celebrating our common humanity, nations seek supremacy over
one another. Powerful corporations compete for control of resources. Political
leaders compete for influence and strategic advantage. Religious leaders
compete for followers and institutional prominence. Communities compete for
identity and recognition. In this relentless race for dominance, moral values
and ethical principles are steadily losing ground.
Humanity Paying the Price
Millions of people across the world continue to struggle for food, clean water, healthcare, education, and dignity. At the same time, unimaginable amounts of wealth are spent on weapons, military preparations, and geopolitical confrontations.
A Humble Appeal to God
Dear God,
Many of today's most influential political leaders carry enormous
responsibility for shaping the destiny of billions of people. Among them are:

I humbly request that you awaken their conscience and remind them of the
sacred responsibility entrusted to them. Help them understand that true
leadership is measured not by the power one accumulates, the territory one
controls, or the victories one achieves, but by the number of lives protected,
the suffering prevented, and the peace created.
Let them remember that no political ambition is worth the loss of
innocent human life. No ideology is worth the destruction of communities. No
strategic victory can compensate for the tears of grieving families or the
suffering of children caught in conflict.
The Special Responsibility of Religious Leaders
Dear God, the responsibility for protecting humanity does not rest solely upon political leaders. Religious leaders possess immense moral influence over billions of people around the world. Their voices have the power to heal divisions, promote understanding, and inspire compassion. Among the most influential religious leaders and spiritual figures of our time are:
While many religious leaders speak about peace and harmony, the world
urgently needs stronger, bolder, and more coordinated action. Humanity needs
more than conferences, declarations, symbolic meetings, and photographs.
Humanity needs leadership that delivers meaningful and measurable results.
A Call for Collective Moral Leadership
Dear God,
Please send a powerful message to every religious leader, regardless of
faith, denomination, or tradition. History has entrusted them with a unique
responsibility. Billions of people look to them for guidance, hope, and moral
direction during some of the most challenging periods in human history. The
world expects them not merely to preach peace from podiums and places of
worship, but to actively build it through meaningful action and collective leadership.
Today, humanity is confronted by war, hatred, extremism, discrimination,
environmental degradation, poverty, and growing social divisions. At such a
critical moment, religious leaders must rise above institutional boundaries and
stand together as one moral force. They must send a clear and united message
that violence, intolerance, hatred, and conflict have no place in a civilized
society.
Dear God, Inspire them to move beyond symbolic gatherings and ceremonial declarations.
Encourage them to establish permanent mechanisms for dialogue, conflict
prevention, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, and humanitarian
cooperation. Let them work collectively, courageously, and sincerely—not for
publicity, recognition, influence, or photographs, but for the welfare of
humanity and the preservation of this beautiful planet.
The world does not need more speeches; it needs tangible results. The
world does not need more divisions; it needs moral courage. The world does not
need more followers; it needs more humanity. Let religious leadership become a
force for healing rather than a spectator to humanity's growing crises.
The Greatest Lesson Humanity Must Learn
Dear God,
Please remind humanity of a simple yet profound truth: no empire lasts forever,
no political victory is permanent, no military triumph is eternal, and no
economic power is invincible. Throughout history, great civilizations have
risen and fallen, powerful rulers have come and gone, and mighty nations have
eventually yielded to the passage of time.
Help us understand that no individual, institution, corporation,
religion, or nation is greater than the human family itself. Teach us that the
true measure of greatness lies not in domination, wealth, military strength, or
political influence, but in compassion, wisdom, justice, and service to others.
Remind us that rivers, forests, oceans, mountains, minerals, sunlight,
air, and water are not commodities to be conquered or exploited without
restraint. They are sacred gifts entrusted to humanity for responsible
stewardship. Help us understand that the Earth does not belong exclusively to
the present generation. It is a shared inheritance that must be preserved and
protected for countless generations yet to come.
A Final Prayer for the Future
Dear God,
The challenges confronting humanity are becoming more urgent with each passing
day. Climate change is accelerating, armed conflicts continue to expand,
natural resources are under increasing pressure, and trust between nations,
communities, and individuals is steadily eroding. Humanity stands at a
crossroads where the choices made today will determine the future of
generations yet unborn. The world cannot afford another generation consumed by
hatred, division, extremism, intolerance, and endless conflict. If this
beautiful planet is to survive and flourish, humanity must rediscover its
conscience and reconnect with the values that unite us as human beings.
Please guide political leaders to choose dialogue over confrontation,
diplomacy over hostility, and cooperation over conflict. Inspire religious
leaders to choose compassion over division, understanding over prejudice, and
service over self-interest. Help citizens choose truth over propaganda, wisdom
over ignorance, and responsibility over indifference. Encourage nations to
pursue collaboration rather than domination and shared prosperity rather than
narrow self-interest. Above all, remind us that every child born on this Earth
belongs first to humanity and only thereafter to a nation, religion, ethnicity,
ideology, or political system. Let us never forget our shared destiny and our
common responsibility to protect this fragile world.
May peace prevail over pride? May wisdom prevail over power? May
compassion prevail over hatred? May conscience prevail over ambition? May
humanity prevail over division?
With hope, concern, and faith in a better future.
