Kesariyaji Tirth - Rajasthan
Great Tirth in the Rushabhadev town near the hills in the Mevar state. This
temple has an idol of Mulnayak Shri Adinath Bhagwan in Padmasana posture, with
black complexion and is about 105 cms. in height. 52 Jinalayas enraptures the
viewer. Its peaks, arches, entrances and pillars are extremely artistic. Since
centuries saffron is applied to Shri Prabhu, whereby due to its complexion it is
known as Kesariyaji. Important Tirth fo the Jaina in Mevar state, situated on
the Ahmedabad-Udaipur road at a distance of 66 kms. from Udaipur.
