Shri Ratnakar Suri Ji possessed such a sharp intellect that in a very short time after his diksha, he did in-depth study of all the basic shastras of Jainism, under the able guidance of his guru, Shri lndradinn Sun Ji Maharaj. Ratnakar Sun Ji gave new dimensions to religion which aimed at wiping out the differences of caste, creed and race, thereby giving impetus to the feeling of brotherhood.
He leads a tough life -living by the five principles of a Jain saint - to the core. Acknowledging his abilities, qualities and in-depth knowledge of Jainism, Shri lndradinn Sun Ji, who was the reigning leader of his sect, appointed him as his 'pattdhar'. After taking over the reigns of his sect after the sudden demise of Shri lndradinn Sun Ji in Ambala, he did nmny works to spread Jinn Vani (the preachings of Jain Tirthankras) and guru vani (preachings of the gurus) among the masses - the most prominent among them being the pratishtha function of Chaura Bazar temple in Ludhiana (PB.) and the celebrations of 50th death anniversary of Shri Vijay Vallabh Suriji Maharaj in Ambala. All his actions are directed towards making people not only good human beings but also good shravaks (true followers of the teachings of Jainism). Agurukul is running under his guidance in Ambala where students are given lessons in Jainism besides the routine academics. A similar gurukul is being set up near Ludhiana. He is known to people as a highly learned seer, abstemious, scholar with divine powers and yet very down-to-earth.
