Today, with hearts weighed down in sorrow yet uplifted in faith, we mourn the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.
Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, was a true shepherd of the faithful and a tireless advocate for peace, compassion, and unity. His life was a living testament to the love of Christ. He broke barriers and bridged divides, becoming a symbol of hope not just for Catholics but for people of all faiths and backgrounds across the world.
His papacy was marked by a sincere and unwavering commitment to promoting
global peace and interfaith dialogue. Through initiatives like his historic
visits to countries torn by conflict, his emphasis on the need for fraternity
among all human beings, and his encyclical letters such as Laudato Si' and
Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis championed the cause of environmental justice,
social equality, and universal brotherhood. He courageously called upon world
leaders to act with mercy and wisdom.
