The Varanasi emperor Bhimasena desirous to propagate his own new religion put an end to the eternal Jainism and other religious; he fell prey to the leprosy with six months. his strongly built handsome body mould of an attractive shape became very obnoxious and the luster vanished away as camphor. The queen consort began to fear from him. All other queens who indulged in lovelier long talks with him began to avoid even his shadows. The public insolently revolted. As is correct that those who strike religion, have to suffer the consequences directly. One day the unhappy king heard about the arrival of a noble ascetic Buddhakirti, and he fell on to his feet. He told the whole story of his miserable condition. The ascetic knew telepathy and he said that was an evil act to abuse any religion and commit blasphemy, and that resulted in painful demerits. The king had been in flaunting of power and got misery due to his acts of blemishing other religions. The king begged pardon and asked for the remedy of the disease. The great ascetic advised him to learn the 34th and 35th stanzas of Bhaktamara stotra with spells of Riddhi and Siddhi chants and rituals. The king Bhimasena kept on the prayers accordingly for three days in severe austerity. Due to that the super dominant deity Chakresvari of the Jina ministry appeared and said, "O son, your wish shall be fulfilled. In future be careful and refrain from such acts. Go to the temple and anoint the Lord Adinatha image and with anointed water purity of your body." To their wonder, the next day the queens came to celebrate by moving lamps round the king and the whole palace became a resort full of melodious songs as Bhimasena had been now bestowed with his original luster and beauty. ------------------------------------------------
