Born in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) in 1948. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Professional & Business 

Associated with leading business group of Muscat - Sultanate of Oman as Managing Director. The group has annual turnover of US$ 1 billion and employs around 3500 personnel.

Social & Religious Activities

He was the Chairman of "Muscat Chapter of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India" for 5 years from 1989 to 1994. He was also the Chairman of "Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Sultanate of Oman" - a supervisory & apex body for 14 Indian Schools having strength of 19000 students. He has founded a charitable organisation -"R.M.Parakh Charitable Foundation" for charitable activities. He is involved with various social & charitable activities, supports for the cause of education, health, medical & religious activities. Few projects undertaken by Mr. Parakh in India are associated with the following social welfare institutions:
a) Jain Girls Schools
b) Blind School.
c) Handicapped School.
d) Hospitals.

The Rotary Club Auditorium at Jodhpur has been named as "R.M.Parakh Rotary Auditorium" to honour Mr. Parakh. He has been promoting Jainism through financial and personal support for several years.

Family 

Blessed with three sons and all presently resident in USA. Wife Smt. Snehlata Parakh provides excellent support. Family settled in Muscat.
